Good morning Mintdom,

Coming to terms with having hypothyroidism is such a good thing!  Since coming to acceptance, I have started doing some research on it.  Yesterday, I read an article it that said the following:

There is no way to prevent hypothyroidism.

Wow!!!  All this time I thought that I caused my hypothyroidism. Phew!  I cannot tell you what a relief that is for me!

In addition to learning this important fact about my condition, there were a couple of lessons in it too.  The first lesson is that if you have a condition, do your research – learn everything you can about it.  The second lesson is a reminder that acceptance is a process, and it is a freedom.  The article was good, and informative, but the lessons were GREAT!

“Acceptance is not submission; it is acknowledgement of the facts of a situation. Then deciding what you’re going to do about it.” –Kathleen Casey Theisen

AffirMINTion:  I love my life and all that it brings!

Make it a GREAT day, IF you choose to.

Life is good

  1. Acceptance…is, as you say, acknowledges the facts and then doing something about it.

Do you have an action plan? One that is tested and known to be successful? One that includes long term motivation and one that can be maintained? One that recognizes the need to balance medical issues with behavioral issues?
