Never Giving Up!

03/26/10 – 8,558 Steps

Day 3

 03/27/10 – 5,166 Steps

 03/28/10 – 4,146 Steps

 03/29/10 – Sick

 Good morning Mintdom,

I did not look at my step count until I was ready for bed on Friday night or I would have walked around the block to get my steps up to 10,000. You had better believe that I would be watching my steps like a hawk from now on! LOL Saturday and Sunday, I did not do any intentional exercise, and yesterday I did not because I was sick.

The good news is that my heel is finally beginning to improve. I can even walk on it first thing in the morning without excruciating pain! I will be so relieved when it is gone all the way, but I do appreciate the relief.

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will no; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” –Calvin Coolidge

My small confession to you this morning is that I am still not feeling great; although, I am feeling better then I was yesterday. In addition, I am sure you have noticed that I have not been totally on my game. I am feeling a little discouraged at my progress – hence the quote. I probably need to print it out and put it at my desk. I know that we all get discouraged from time to time. My question to you is how do you handle discouragement?

AffirMINTion: I will persist in my quest for better health!

Make it a GREAT day, IF you choose to.

 What are you waiting for?

 Life is good!

  1. Glad to see you are feeling better and making a turn.
Ahhhh….”motivation”…..keep your goal in front of everything else, no one can stop the goal except for you!
    Have a great day Deborah!!!

  2. You ask how do we handle discouragement? Mintdom goes a long way to help for sure! A quick shot in the arm is being in nature – whether it is a walk outdoors or just sitting in the sunshine listening to the birds. I think when our senses are stimulated we feel revitalized – which is a great springboard towards a more enthusiastic and encouraging mood. Of course asking for help works wonders and when you let others give to you – all really are on the receiving end. You have what it takes to do what ever your Mintmind wants! Do you know how I know this? I’ve seen how far you’ve come, I see your positive attitude day in and day out and also how much you have accomplished in your life! YOU are AMAZING Deborah! This is just a blip – You are going for the BANG! xo!

    1. I love you too Beckaline! You are correct… I have learned to like being outside… just not too far from civilization! lol xoxo
