No Step Count This Weekend – Took a Break from Counting
Good Morning Mintdom!
Well, I thought I was going to be getting a new member to my family this weekend, but things do not always happen as planned. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was when the owner changed her mind at the last moment. Funny thing is that I was not in the market for a dog or any pet for that matter until this opportunity came along. I thought about it for over three weeks. I wrote the pros and cons, I spoke with my family and friends, and finally made the decision to go forward. Once I made the decision, I got so excited. Honestly, I could barely think about anything else. I did not sleep at night, thinking about her. I walked down the pet isles at the grocery store, looking at dog food, treats, and toys. Fortunately, I did not buy anything except extra sandwich bags to pick up poop! LOL. I dreamt about the worse things that could happen and the best things. I imagined snuggling with her, walking with her, taking her places. Jeepers…. I was puppy obsessed and I had not even seen a photo of her. Needless to say, I cried the night I heard it might not be happening. What a roller coaster ride and I do not even like roller coasters! LOL! Anyway, that is life, and life is certainly about change; mine changed and then changed back in a week! LOL
“Disappointment to a noble soul is what cold water is to burning metal; it strengthens tempers, intensifies, but never destroys it.” – Eliza Tabor
Thank you Eliza that is exactly how I feel – like cold water to burning metal! LOL I know everything happens for a reason and all will be well. I do not know what it is yet, but I am sure I will figure it out. I DO know that feeling the disappointment is a good thing; it shows me that I am alive and well! You know without the rain there is no rainbow!
AffirMINTion: I love my life and all that it holds for me!
Make it a GREAT day, IF you choose to.
What are you waiting for?
Life is good!
