Good morning Mintdom,
I met had a GREAT day yesterday. Even though my step count was a little low, the exercise made up for it.
We (Minty and I) slept in this morning. We had a big day yesterday as she had a check up and her shots. I just have to tell you that I felt like I did as a new mom.
Here is a little snippet:
I tried to get her to go to the bathroom before we left but that did not happen. Do you remember your mom asking before a trip, “Did you go to the bathroom?” Of course, usually someone who had to go at the last minute or 10 minutes after we were in the car. On the way to the vet, Minty threw up – poor little girl. We arrived at the doctor’s office and I again tried to get her to go to the bathroom and STILL no luck – she was too nervous and I am sure not feeling well. I picked her up along with my purse and her portfolio with her records. Phew – you could push one of the doors to get in. I came up to the front desk, checked in, and received a clipboard with papers to fill out. So now, I am holding Minty (I am afraid that she might go to the bathroom on the floor, WHICH HAD CARPET ON IT!), my purse, her papers, and the clipboard. I sat and put everything down on the bench next to me except Minty and as I was filling out the papers, a young woman comes up to me and hands me this new puppy box. Minty loves people, she is wagging and wriggling looking for attention from this new person, and I am still trying to fill out these papers. Finally, they call Minty’s name. I pick up everyone and everything and walk into the room. The tech and the doctor were very nice – Minty got a clean bill of health and her shots. We checked out, I tried to get Minty to go potty again to no avail (at least she did not go potty in the office). I gave her a little water before getting back on the road, cleaned up her little carrier and got on the road. As we were leaving the parking lot, this woman started waving her arms and pointing at my car. “You left something on your car,” she said. Sure, enough I left Minty’s little drinking bowl. Jeepers – it is like having a new baby!
I worked from home yesterday to make sure that Minty did not have a bad reaction to the shots. She was lethargic all day until about 10:30 last night, right before bed. She was a wild woman! We ‘played’ until nearly Midnight before going to bed. I do not think either one of us slept well – hence getting up late.
That is all I have for you today – no quote – no video and an extra short Minty MoMINT
Make it a GREAT day, IF you choose to.
What are you waiting for?
Life is good!
A Mini Minty MoMINT
I love my mom but *I* was the one that got the shots. She did not tell you that I was brave until they squirted something up my nose!
My mom takes good care of me and I like it!
Life is Minty Fresh!
