Good morning Mintdom,
I had a good week last week as far as exercise goes. I went to the pool and swam on Sunday, Monday and Saturday. I am going to try to add another day this week. I am working my way up to five times a week. I know it has only been a couple of weeks since I started swimming again but I swear I already feel more energy!
Yesterday, I bought some fresh (local) vegetables that I plan to cook them on the grill. I will let you know how that works out. I want to step up on my vegetables. The US government has come up with a new symbol for food guidelines. Instead of the food guide pyramid, the government has come up with a plate is divided into the proper proportions. Check out www.nutrition.gov – it is an excellent resource for healthy eating guidelines. In order for me to meet my summer goals (see last week’s post) I need to immerse myself in healthy people, places and things. This week I am upping my vegetable intake and eating one fruit, which I have not bought yet! Stay tuned!
If you have goals, what are you doing to reach them? To help me reach my goals, I have them written, I do a vision board that I keep in front of me, and I have started a visual or some call it a dream journal. It has more than physical health ideas and dreams in it. It also includes my emotional, financial and spiritual goals. I even have some farfetched dreams – who knows – maybe one day it will come true! Why don’t you take some time today to write down your goals or if you already have them written down, take time to think about them?
