Good morning Mintdom!

<;;;;walking tentatively into Mintdom>;;;; It has been a long time since I posted – mainly because I did not feel like I had anything to share or was not willing to share; however, I missed being here and ALL of you. Even more so, I NEED all of you and the accountability that I get from writing regularly; therefore, I am hitting the Reset Button again.

The nice thing about the Reset Button is that it is always there and you can hit it anytime and as many times as you need to. There have been times that I hit that button more than once a day! The Reset button is nice, too, because once it is hit it is a FRESH START! The mistakes I made are in the past and are good only as learning experiences.

SMART Mint!

Good morning Mintdom!

I made my comMINTment yesterday by the 19 steps – phew!  It DOES go to show me that when I make a comMINTment, write it down, and then share it with others, I keep it.  It really CAN work for you too.  Now, you do not have to share it with the world as I do, but my best advice is to find a person that will hold you accountable to your goals.  Be careful though, because you want to make sure they are YOUR goals and not their goals for you. You know *I* can come up with many things that *I* think that YOU need to do!  LOL!  Those who know me well have seen that!  My sister Nancy occasionally gives unsolicited advice, but she is gentle with it and usually asks permission to give it.  On the other hand, I often just blurt it out!  LOL!  The good news is that once I tell you what I think, I usually let it go.  My point is to make sure that the goals you set are YOUR goals or you and your accountability partner will end up frustrated at the very least!

Measurable

Attainable
Realistic

Timely

If you follow these directions, and have someone help hold you accountable, you will achieve your goals. Oh, and by the way, I do not think that your accountability partner has to be in person, although that is the best-case scenario; you can also have sessions over the phone.  Other then sending your goals or a report via e-mail, STAY AWAY FROM E-MAIL CONVERSATIONS but that is another topic all together!  LOL!

I am so grateful that I have you all to write to in the mornings.  I cannot imagine that I would have continued this journey without you.  Each of you, in your own way, through your notes, phone calls and your occasional in person pokes, rekindles the spark in me.  Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my Minty heart!
