Minty Motivation!

Good morning, Mintdom!
Whoo hoo! I have a new pedoMINTer.  My little box is filling up with ex-pedoMINTers – it is difficult to find just the right one because I am fussy.  This one actually speaks to me so I do not have to keep looking; it also reminds me to be conscience of my steps and it keeps me motivated.  Anyway, I am happy to have one again – gotta love counting steps!

Right now, staying motivated is my biggest challenge.  Motivation is like keeping a campfire going; it needs tending to constantly or it goes out.  That is what happened to me – my fire went out and I lost my motivation. Having a pedoMINTer is the spark that ignites my fire; wearing it every day and writing Mintdom stokes my fire. The other thing that helps tend my fire is the support I receive from all of you, either in your notes to me with little nudges, or ones in person!  I SO appreciate each of you!

What are some of the things that keep you motivated?  I would love to hear your ideas!

AffirMINTion: I tend to my motivation.

Make it a GREAT day, IF you choose to.

What are you waiting for?

Good morning Mintdom!

I took less steps then I wanted to take yesterday.  I am actually taking a little break from ‘intentional’ walking – maybe a week.  My left knee’s crunching is getting worse, and I have a twinge in my back.  I do not want it to get bad enough that I have to quit. Never fear though; I am STILL counting my steps, AND I am substituting swimming and weight training.  I am staying on the path towards better health.

“Every problem has a gift for you in its hands.”  – Richard Bach

I have to tell you that posting in Mintdom is really keeping me motivated.  I honestly believe that if I were not reporting my steps daily, I would be backsliding by now.  I have to thank Greta van Susteren and GretaWire for coming up with that challenge.  I have to thank the royal subjects of Mintdom though for keeping me on track with your words of encouragement and support.  I cannot say it enough – thank you, thank you, thank you! You are my gift!

Because of my experience, I want to encourage all of you to share your goals with others.  You do not have to start your own kingdom to do it, and you do not have to be a writer.  I would like to help you by offering all of you, your very own house (page) in Mintdom where you can share your goals, struggles, etc.  I cannot tell you enough, how awesome this experience is for me, and I want to share.  Let me know if you want your own house in Mintdom!

AffirMINTion:  I look for the gift in all my problems

Make it a GREAT day, IF you choose to.
