86,400 What?

02/24/10 – No Data – Pedometer Reset

 3

 Good morning Mintdom,

My pedometer reset itself yesterday, but I can tell you that the last time I looked at it in the afternoon, it was over 4,200 steps, and my foot is still not too bad this morning. I am hoping that I am on the mend because I miss my walking. Jeepers – did I just say that? LOL I never thought that I would say that I missed anything that had to do with exercise of any kind. I have come a long way, I am still in the infancy of my quest for a healthy and balanced life, and as I found out the other day, there are 86,400 seconds in the day, which gives me 86,400 opportunities each day to create that.

Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend.” –Theophrastus (372 BC – 287 BC) from Diogenes Laertius Lives of Eminent Philosophers

My dad always says that time is the great equalizer. Each of us only has 24-hours in a day; it does not matter who we are, where we come from or how much we have. He then asks, “How do you want to spend it?” Now I also know that I have 86,400 opportunities to spend those 24-hours well! How will you spend your opportunities today?

AffirMINTion:  I take full advantage of my 86,400 opportunities in my day!

Make it a GREAT day, IF you choose to.

What are you waiting for?

ChChCh Changes!

11/18/09 – 7,424 Steps

Food Journal – Yes

Good morning Mintdom,

Many changes going on at work right now with the new office. We are on a new computer system and I am not sure if this will go out or not.  It is all very exciting, of course, there have been a couple of gliches, and there will probably be more. We are all on a learning curve right now with our technology, but once we are fully functional, it is going to be awesome! Although, it is great to have the nice and the new, I want to stick close to the basics.  Most importantly, I want to keep focused on my health goals. My food was good yesterday and any day that I get over 7,000 steps in is a GREAT day.  I want to be consistent in doing at least that.

“What is required for effective change is continuity of sincere effort to release and let go of inefficient thought patterns from the past.” -Doc Childre and Howard Martin, Freeze-Frame

The goal for the office is to evaluate which systems are working well and which systems are not, and which new systems we want to develop.  This is a GREAT time for renewing and discarding.  I have the same goal for myself.  Since I have a shortened commute, I will have more time in the mornings to get to the gym. I am going to work on my 2010 goals, keeping the ones that will bring about healthy change for me and releasing others.  Have you thought about your 2010 goals yet?  This might be a good time to start!

AffirMINTion:  I embrace change; opportunities come from change!
