Good morning Mintdom!
I spent my first night last night in MINTesota! It only took me two days to get here by plane because the airlines delayed the first flight for so long that I missed the last Bemidji flight out. I was never so happy to miss a flight in my life as I spent the night with my cousins! I apologize for the lateness in this Mintdom, but there is a time difference and I thought that if I set my alarm to 6:00 am, that you would get it early, but it is 7:00 am there and not 5:00 am, duh! I might have to write in the evenings here, although I have less brainpower then. The nice thing about being on vacation though, is that I can go back to sleep!
I had good step work on Tuesday because I worked most of the day, and flew to Minnesota that It is amazing to me how difficult for me to reach those10,000 steps! I have either to be, focused on intentional exercise, attend a wedding with dancing, or walk around two airports! LOL!
My cousin gave me a book while I was there called Pain Free for Women: The revolutionary Program for Ending Chronic Pain by Pete Egoscue with Roger Gittines. Just as I was beginning to think that 10,000 steps was unreasonable, I am at the beginning of the book, but what the authors say is that we have pain because of lack of motion. Do you think it could be that easy? Try this little exercise from the book:
Remember when you were eight and took your first solo bike ride?
Do you remember climbing the pine tree behind the house?
Do you remember marathon jump rope contests with your best friend?
Do you remember walking, running, skipping and dancing?
This little exercise helped me remember how much I USED to move! I was always on the move! I need to write these on a 3×5 card (hint, hint) so that I remember how I used to be. I do not know if you felt this when you did this exercise, but I swear that as I was recalling some of the activities that I did when I was a young girl, I could feel the muscle memory. I think I just needed to remind my body that it is all still there – I just need to use it more. From now on, I am going to be extra conscience of moving, moving, and moving!

AffirMINTion: I am moving my body, more and more each day!
Make it a GREAT day, IF you choose to and welcome to MINTesota.
Life is good!
